Our personal training approach at our gym in North Sydney has been successful for the better part of 2 decades. Since opening in 2003 our methods have evolved. We have added state of the art equipment in our personal training studio, however the principles in term of client approach and member success have been the same for over 20 years. Every client receives a personal assessment to determine the best exercise prescription and method based of their individual results and goals being assessed. Once those results are established, a client roadmap can then be attained by improving movement capabilities at the same time as improving body composition through the loss of body fat and using advanced strength training methods the increase strength and muscle hypertrophy.

Our Personal Approach in Personal Training

 

Once the program is in place, the next principle our personal trainers master is understanding the potential of the client and to motivate them to achieve their goals in a simple but implicit way. The goal of improving body composition which means losing body fat while either gaining or maintaining muscle mass is best done with controlled movements but also to failure while also maximizing range of motion within each specific muscle group. This can also only be achieved with a proper assessment and program design to understand the clients limitations to avoid injury while still reaching maximum potential.  Our personal trainers best understand how to reach goals and have been trained extensively on advanced techniques to understand the science of fat loss, muscle gain and mobility. Our North Sydney Personal Training Studio

Inpower Fitness in North Sydney has the goal in mind the have the best equipment to achieve the fastest results possible. All of these have been carefully selected by our owner/Director Troy van Spanje to match the strength curve and train the muscle through its entire range of motion. We use the thick handle Watson dumbells for overall muscle recruitment and grip strength. We also have the thin handle dumbells by Watson which are precisely calibrated unlike old school traditional rubber dumbells that our competitors use.  Other brands we use are Prime, Hammer strength, Atlantis, Life fitness, and Technogym.

Inpower Fitness Is the people’s gym with many services to tailor any budget while having our individual personal training approach.

Our options are Hybrid Training.

1 session weekly or monthly with a personalised program written for you to complete on your own.

Small group Training or semi private coaching

Our personal training approach but in a group setting, can be couples training or join our groups with a maximum of 5 people

Personal training

Our premium most popular and most personalised package. Included is nutrition coaching, goal setting and your own designated coach. All Personal training clients also have email, phone and Zoom call access to Troy to ask any questions or tips to get the most out of your training.

Online Training

Personalised programs with monthly coaching calls.

Exclusive Gym Access.

An exclusive window of time where you can use the gym on your own with the supervision of a coach using one of our personalised programs.

Periodisation with Personal Training

Most personal training programs last roughly 6 weeks. We strongly believe in changing every 3 weeks. The reason is simple in terms of variety but also to increase volume consistently over time. Research has proven there is a law of diminishing return. To try and continue to increase volume on the same program for more than 4 workouts can be detrimental to muscle size and even strength. We use undulating periodisation between volume and intensity. This is a tried and proven method of some of the best coaches and trainers in the world.
